Please describe your job: What do you do?
As the Head of Business Development & Consultancy at Propel Guru, I am responsible for overseeing the strategic direction in the context of transactional marketing, relationship marketing, and call-to-action marketing while ensuring that our clients are the recipients of high B2B and B2C sales on a consistent basis.
Propel Guru is a leading provider of email marketing, lead generation, and digital marketing solutions that enables retailers and brands to optimize the way they connect to customers. We help our customers increase brand awareness and sales through online channels – whether that’s Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, email marketing, and more.
Primarily, my job is to enhance the efficacy and efficiency of our customer-facing teams in sales, marketing, and services to help customers acquire more customers and drive high online sales consistently. In a nutshell, I make it as effortlessly as possible to my team members to help our customers and do their jobs.
I manage a team of experienced, innovative, and highly-motivated members who have the expertise as well as the access to resources to target consumers at different stages in the sales funnel.
My primary responsibility is to set the strategy and ensure we have got an amazing team to implement it effortlessly and without deviations. Day to day, it’s all about motivating, guiding, and supporting the team so they keep our customers happy and enjoy their roles.
At Propel Guru, I am entrusted with the task of getting the word out the products and services of our customers on their behalf. By doing this, we help our customers build their brand and explore previously-hidden or unexplored markets, customer base, and opportunities.
What changes are you making to help your brand connect with how people are feeling and experiencing the pandemic?
Before anything else, we at Propel Guru are well aware that this is a tough time for many people, both in their personal and work lives. Therefore, we are cautious that while we want to carry on as normal, our partners and customers may be preoccupied with more important things ahead of them. And that’s perfectly fine. In fact, we have even included a compassionate statement in our email signatures.
Our primary focus is to support our partners and customers and to help startups, small, medium, and big-sized businesses, nonprofits, healthcare institutions, and Fortune 500 Companies get through these challenging times in any small way we can.
Our primary vision is to leverage our unique combination of proprietary data, technology, and inventory and our human expertise. My personal advice to all business owners and marketers is to think and act with both the brain and the heart. Empathy, compassion, and sensitivity are more valuable than ever. It is time they adopt more of a “How can we assist?” tone and attitude in your messaging.
